How Does the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 Work?

Once you’ve installed the doorbell camera, it’s time to try it out. Using your phone, you can look at a live video feed and check notifications. A few new unique features that Ring has added to this doorbell are 3D Motion Detection and Bird’s Eye View. The 3D Motion Detection feature uses radar technology to help determine where someone is on your property. This is done by sending out radio waves that bounce back to the sensor, allowing it to read distance.

If you enable 3D Motion Detection, you can also use the Bird’s Eye View feature, allowing you to map out a person’s direction without the need for a second camera. Instead, Ring uses an overhead map that can show you an individual’s direction with the help of 3D Motion Detection.

Another great perk this doorbell camera offers is a larger field of vision, allowing you to see more vertically rather than mostly horizontally. This means you’ll have a better chance of seeing someone from head to toe and where your package is placed. With a Ring Protect Plan, access additional features for this doorbell camera like storage, sharing, and photo previews for notifications.

How Much Does the Ring Doorbell Pro 2 Cost?

The Ring Doorbell Pro 2 costs $249.99. That is a hefty jump from the Ring’s Wired Doorbell, but the features are bound to make the price worth it. Essentially, if you’re looking for better quality and more features in a video doorbell, then this one could be worth its weight.
